Jimmy Key carries out intensive studies and projects to meet the carbon emission reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement. It also benefits from solar energy panels, which are environmentally friendly and renewable energy sources that will save energy in production processes. It carries out activities that will remove the use of coal and reduce its carbon footprint.
Jimmy Key Chairman of the Board Elvan Ünlütürk said, “We aim to contribute to the future and our planet by designing collections featuring environmentally friendly green products within the scope of the new Jimmy Key, ‘Key for Life’ program, in which we maintain a fashion understanding that respects nature, the environment and people. We bring products produced with less water and energy use to customers. With the vision of being a brand committed to sustainability theories, we carry out the entire retail process, from the fabrics we use to the production process, with the perspective of protecting nature and people.”
In addition to the clean energy it produces, Jimmy Key received the I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate), an international certification that certifies that the electricity used is produced from renewable energy sources by RECS International. In this way, it has documented all its energy consumption from clean energy sources, with a sense of responsibility towards the environment and nature.
Jimmy Key uses natural fibers obtained from renewable wood sources and compatible with human and nature in its production processes and certifies the raw materials used within the framework of international standards. At the same time, it carries out improvement works to reduce water consumption per product produced. Setting off with the message of ‘best for life’, it is making radical improvement efforts to create a more responsible fashion industry and already commits to use its energy consumption entirely from renewable energy sources in 2022.
