Zorlu Center certifies the energy it uses in the shopping center with the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC), and encourages the production and use of renewable energy for a sustainable life.

With this understanding, Zorlu Center has certified the energy it uses with the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) in cooperation with Zorlu Energy, one of the Zorlu Group companies. With this certificate for the shopping mall, Zorlu Center certifies that Zorlu Energy uses the green energy it produces at Alaşehir I Geothermal Power Plant and encourages the production and use of renewable energy for a sustainable life.
Developing innovative business models for a sustainable life, Zorlu Center continues to reduce its environmental impact while making life easier, especially with its smart management systems and many applications ranging from electric taxis to electric vehicle charging units. In this context, the electric vehicle charging stations of Zorlu Energy’s new generation energy brand ZES in Zorlu Center also certify with the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) that the electricity supplied to electric cars is obtained from clean energy.
Zorlu Center, which has taken many steps to reduce its environmental impact in addition to its many existing applications, has taken an important step in sustainable energy use with the ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certificate it has received. With the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) it received in line with this sustainability-oriented approach, Zorlu Center has registered that it has switched to 100% renewable energy on a completely voluntary basis.
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs-Renewable Energy Certificates), created with the aim of popularizing renewable energy investments and consumption, aim to create a reliable market by tracking each unit of electricity produced, starting from its source, until it reaches the consumers. In this context, the I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate), developed by RECS International, contributes to the conscious choice of consumers in order to ensure that they consume energy obtained from renewable energy sources.
