Wind energy meets 16% of the electricity need in Europe and about 9% in Turkey. Wind, which is clean and cheap energy, also represents 300,000 jobs in the EU, while each newly installed wind turbine generates 10 million euros of economic activity.
As the wind blows, the future and the economy continue to take shape. So much so that the wind energy sector alone creates billion-euro economic values and brings the world together with cleaner and cheaper energy. Based on WindEurope data, wind energy, which has an economic area that represents 300,000 jobs in Europe today, contributes 37 billion euros to the EU’s gross domestic product every year. The 10 billion dollar economic activity that occurs with each new wind turbine installed contributes to the economies of countries with thousands of turbines at a level that can shape the future.
Wind Energy Is First in National Planning
Renewable energy has been at the forefront of the economy, energy and climate plans of nations in recent years. Especially the economic values represented by wind energy and the mission of a clean future are of great importance for the world. In this sense, it is seen that important strides have been made in the development of technologies, especially in order to increase wind energy investments and to ensure maximum efficiency from wind. With the steps taken, wind energy has become an important energy source in Europe and Turkey today and creates a significant volume of economic activity. He states that while wind energy, which saves the future and provides economic development, represents 300,000 jobs in the EU, it can employ only about 20 thousand people in Turkey. Country Energy General Manager Ali Aydın, who draws attention to the fact that the domestic and national employment attack in our country is also carried out by Ülke Enerji, stated that they attach great importance to locality in terms of both technological infrastructure and employee employment in the maintenance and repair of wind turbines, and that the wind turbine technicians who are experts in their field are among the young people of our country and their education is at high standards. He also states that they put a lot of effort into it.
Economic Value Created by a Turbine Alone 10 Million €
While the wind is blowing, it not only produces energy, but also helps to create a billion-euro sector behind it and to make economic contributions. Only each newly installed turbine creates an economic activity volume of 10 million euros in the EU, while the annual contribution of wind energy to the EU’s GDP is 37 billion euros. While opening the way for new power plants and new job opportunities in the wind energy sector, it also directly contributes to the domestic energy supply.
