EU countries signed an agreement to reduce carbon emissions of trucks and buses by
Austria, the EU presidency president, announced that EU ministers’ environmental ministers agreed to reduce the carbon emissions of trucks and buses by 2030 by 20 percent compared to 2019.
As an interim target, the target is to reduce emissions by 15% by 2025 and by 2022 by 2022. EU member states will discuss this decision with the European Parliament next year, which wants to reduce the carbon emissions by 35 per cent.
