While the European Union (EU) member countries agreed on the common gas purchase, they could not reach an agreement on the ceiling price for natural gas.
The energy ministers of the EU member states met in Prague, hosted by the Czech Republic, the term president.
“Energy has been the number one issue in the EU.” Saying Sikela, voicing that they discussed sensitive issues such as regulations and prices for electricity and gas markets at the meeting, Sikela said, “There is a general agreement between the Ministers that progress should be made in the joint gas supply until 2023.” he said.
No decision on gas ceiling price
EU Commission Member for Energy Kadri Simson also stated that they are working on an alternative method for gas prices, and if this is accepted, it will be activated next year.
