Enel, one of the Italian green energy producers, purchased a hydroelectric investment with a capacity of 527 MW with a value of $ 1.19 billion from the Italian company ERG.
While the Italian renewable energy group buys hydroelectric assets with an investment value of $1.19 billion, Enel also has a portfolio with a capacity of 527 megawatts (MW), which can produce an average of 1.5 terawatt hours (TWh) of energy annually.
After the acquisition, the HEPP capacity of Enel Group will reach an estimated 13 thousand MW, and some natural gas assets will be disposed of, thus focusing entirely on solar and wind energy for the future.
