Announced with the launch of e-ATA, e-Jest, whose name was changed within the scope of “Karsan Electric Evolution”, its new journey in electric public transportation solutions, has finally started to serve in the Municipality of Split, Croatia. Standing out with its original dimensions, high maneuverability and range performance in the 6-meter class, e-Jest is also the first Karsan model in Croatia to be 100% electric.
Karsan Exports Deputy General Manager Deniz Çetin said, “Our Karsan electric vehicles continue to travel in more than 30 cities in Europe. Being the leader of its segment in the market in 2020, e-Jest continues to be admired for its design and performance day by day. In this context, we are pleased to be able to serve on the Adriatic coast with the e-Jest vehicle we have delivered to Split, the second largest city in Croatia,” he said.
Offers a Range of Up to 210 km
Proving itself with its high maneuverability and unparalleled passenger comfort, e-Jest can be preferred with a BMW electric motor producing 170 HP power and 290 Nm torque, and BMW 44 and 88 kWh batteries. Offering a range of up to 210 km, the 6-meter small bus shows the best performance in its class, and thanks to the regenerative braking system that provides energy recovery, the batteries can charge itself at a rate of 25%. Equipped with a 10.1-inch multimedia touch screen, fully digital instrument panel, keyless start, USB outputs and optionally providing WI-FI compatible infrastructure, e-Jest does not match the comfort of a passenger car with its 4-wheel independent suspension system.
