Kalyon Holding has completed the 1st phase of the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which will have an installed capacity of 1000 MW, which will be installed in Konya, with a capacity of 271 MW.
The 1st phase of Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which was realized by Kalyon Holding for domestic and renewable energy needs, has been completed. Reaching a capacity of 271 MW with the domestic panels produced at the Kalyon Solar Technologies Factory, the power plant will produce equivalent to the domestic electricity needs of 2 million people, and while there are 700 thousand photovoltaic solar panels in the plant, this corresponds to 30% of the total capacity.
Kalyon Solar Technologies Factory, which was put into service in Ankara on August 19, 2020, became the first fully integrated solar panel production center in the world, with the aim of producing the necessary technology for solar energy production in Turkey. First of all, it started to produce the panels of the solar power plant established in Konya-Karapınar.
