Expert in 3D and Product Life Cycle software, Dassault Systèmes announced at the World Nuclear Fair held recently that it will design the extra small modular nuclear reactor solution (Extra Small Sustainable Modular Nuclear Reactor – XSMR) of the France-based energy startup NAAREA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
XSMR, an ultra-compact clean energy source, uses fuel from existing industrial waste reserves without depleting natural resources.
NAAREA will use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to design XSMR’s virtual twin. Thus, it will be possible to collaboratively design the reactor in an integrated virtual environment, simulate the operating situation, and closely monitor the design quality from start to finish. In addition, since the platform has a cloud-based structure, NAAREA will be able to access the virtual twin of the reactor from anywhere at any time and increase the number of users when necessary.
NAAREA co-founder and CEO Jean-Luc Alexandre, who made statements on the subject, drew attention to the global importance of energy production to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and said: “To achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, large-scale We are planning to develop nano power plants. These power plants complement and supplement renewable energies, but they can produce energy that is much lower cost, carbon-free, autonomous, decentralized and uninterrupted.”
Stating that they are proud of NAAREA’s preference for the 3DEXPERIENCE platform in the design of reactors, Dassault Systèmes Western Europe General Manager Philippe Besse said, “As the world moves away from fossil fuel use, we are helping companies in the energy sector reach the targets set by the global communities with our technology. innovative initiatives such as NAAREA; “They can always rely on the groundbreaking industrial solutions of our 3DEXPERIENCE platform to design, simulate and manufacture.”
