Gaziantep and Konya were determined as pilot cities for the international Zero Carbon Buildings project supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Turkey is the beneficiary.
The Turkey leg of the Zero Carbon Buildings project, implemented by the Energy Efficiency in Buildings Platform supported by GEF, and implemented by the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), begins.
Within the scope of the project, finance models will be put forward with the support of private sector stakeholders and development banks, together with local governments to invest in zero carbon buildings. In addition to Turkey, technical support will be provided to Colombia for the implementation of zero carbon buildings for 2 years.
